When: This meeting is held before the start of every NJRLL Swim season. 

Who: All volunteers that will be holding the position of Stroke and Turn Judges

Why: This meeting acts as a certification for all Stroke and Turn officials. The meeting is required if you will be Stroke and Turn judging during any NJRLL Dual Meets. This is required annually, as the rules change from year to year based on the governing NFHS Official Rule Book and it's Addendums for the current year.

Q. I am already a certified official for swimming under USA Swim and YMCA. Do I need to attend?

A. Yes, it's great to have you on board. The rules in the NJRLL league, although they are derived from the NFHS, they do have slight custom deviations. The NFHS also has different officiating rules in regards to comparison to other governing bodies. These rules need to be understood in order to provide a fair playing field for all of the league swimmers.

Q. I attended this meeting last year, do I need to attend again?

A. Yes, the rules do have slight changes from year to year.
